Our Engineering Test Lab has an opening for a Software Engineer/Technician to support the testing of complex mechanical seal systems used in the aerospace, nuclear, chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries.

This hands-on position integrates many fields including: Instrumentation, AC and DC Motors, Process Control, Panel Design, PLC and Data Acquisition Programming, Troubleshooting and Documentation. The industrial test lab environment gives the control engineer the flexibility to see product through from concept through design, build, startup and running. Projects include new test rig design and build as well as existing test system upgrades.

Requirements:

• BS Engineering (ME, EE, CE, SE) or AS Engineering Technology
• PLC, HMI and Data Acquisition software programming experience
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills
• Minimal travel (less than 10%)

Desirable (not required):

• Industrial Controls design experience
• Ability to read and create electrical control prints/specifications and Piping & Instrument Diagrams [P&ID]
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E Standards for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
• 2D CAD experience (AutoCAD Electrical)
• LabVIEW programming experience
• AC and DC motor controls experience
• Industrial Networks experience
