Stein Seal is seeking an Individual with background in aerospace materials, heat treating of those materials and metallic coatings and platings needed to work full time with our purchasing department to qualify suppliers to our Company. While a technical degree in the materials field is not necessary, applicants need to have extensive experience in related fields to be considered.  We will provide training for the position if not fully versed in all aspects of the requirements.

Some overnight travel is required to visit regional suppliers as part of the auditing and qualification process for new or existing suppliers.  Individual must be detail oriented and have good computer skills.

Q.A. Inspector – Receiving Inspection

The Receiving Inspection Quality Inspector monitors the quality of incoming products or materials for Stein Seal Company. The Inspector will be tasked with conducting inspections, analyzing measurements, and overseeing the production processes to ensure conforming Product.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Quality Control Receiving Inspector for a growing Aerospace Machining, Manufacturing and Assembly Company. Typical duties include performing incoming dimensional inspections using a variety of gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gages based on the drawing requirements to be measured. Required to perform visual inspection against internal and customer specifications using good judgement regarding workmanship issues. Required to document inspection results per component blueprints and/or customer requirements. Identify and document deviations and possible corrective actions with the philosophy of continuous improvement. Generate and process non-conformance documentation on discrepant product. CMM Operation (Preferred but not mandatory as internal training will be made available).

Review and verification of Certifications supplied such as material certifications, heat treatment, coatings, basically any outside service. Comply with all requirements of the Company Quality Management System.

Stein Seal is a growing seal manufacturing company that is seeking a candidate that will be assembling and inspecting parts received, finished parts and work in process to ensure conformance with work orders, drawing specifications and customer requirements.  Candidates should have a least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment using hand-held measuring devices and a CMM.

 

Assembles, inspects, and repairs components.

 

Able to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.

 

Oversee received inspections, in-process inspection, and final inspections.

 

Resolves assembly problems to meet specification and notifies supervisor.

 

Responsible for maintaining current calibration of all measuring devices in the department.

 

Communicates in a professional manner with other departments.

 

Maintains a safe and clean working environment.

 

 

Full time position in our Kulpsville location.

Stein Seal is a growing Manufacturing company in the Aerospace Industry.

We are hiring for multiple CNC Operator – Non-Metal associates

Must be available for 1st or 2nd shift

1st shift: 7am-3:30

2nd shift: M-T 5:30p-2am F: 3:30p-12am

Accountabilities: 

  • Knowledge of CNC controls
  • Change tools and adjust
  • Establish a Zero point based upon part requirements
  • Learn to read blueprints and job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and sequence of operations
  • Measure completed parts using Calipers, height stands,
  • Ability to inspect products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet specifications, comply with established standards and methods for Visual inspection, testing, evaluation and calibration.

Required: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recently graduate from CNC Machinist trade school (Preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Mechanical Technician – Engineering Test Lab

Stein Seal Company has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Technician in our Engineering Test Lab that will be responsible for the setup of machinery for, and to carry out the functional testing of mechanical seals as described by the test plan. Also, to assist the Engineering group in research and development testing to establish new designs and products.
Standard day shift or afternoon shift hours
• Set up tooling for Test rig assembly prior to test.
• Operation of test rig during test including any adjustments needed to attain test plan conditions.
• Collection of required data during test.
• Instrumentation and measurement of seal components.
• Maintaining the calibration of test rig and rig instrumentation.
• Additional data manipulation and report generation after testing in accordance with the test plan using MS Office programs.
• Assist in generation of test lab procedures when needed.
• Machining and modification of tooling and building of test rigs when needed
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-Year degree or additional technical school training in applicable field preferred.
Experience:
• 3 Years of experience as a mechanic, electrician or technician preferred.
Skills:
• Good mechanical skills a must.
• Basic PC computer skills required including MS Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics required.
• General plumbing knowledge required.
• General electrical wiring knowledge required.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, gear boxes, pumps and couplings a plus.
• Machining experience a plus.
• Knowledge of PLC control and/or Data Acquisition software a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to work with minimal supervision once the task has been explained

CNC Machinist Associates for both 1st and 2nd shift (+10% shift differential)

Stein Seal is a growing seal manufacturer. We are seeking multiple skilled CNC machinists for its two facilities in Kulpsville PA and Telford PA . Work includes making components for aircraft engines, industrial and even rocket applications. Equipment includes late model Haas, Okuma, Doosan and other name brands of equipment. We have two locations. One is located 1/2 mile from the Lansdale exit of the turnpike, the other is less than a mile from an exit of 309. 

Responsibilities: 

Shifts: 

1st Shift: 7AM to 3:30 PM (overtime is usually available) 

2nd Shift: M-T 5:30pm-2am and Friday 3:30pm – 12am (Overtime is usually available) 

  • Set up and operate various CNC machines: CNC Mill, lathe, grinder and multi-axis machines
  • Interpret blueprints, manuals and GDT symbols
  • Math skills (Proficient)
  • Knowledge of working with various type of metals
  • Take measurement and determine correctness using: CMMs, micrometer, depth gages, etc.
  • Engage and embrace good manufacturing and safety practices
  • Complete all quality control documentation and inspection sheets

Qualifications: 

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Trade Certificate or 2+ years of experience in operating CNC Machines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team Player who is willing to help their peers as well as having an open mind to new ideas or ways of completing projects
  • Excellent communication skills
