Wanted – Manufacturing Process Engineer
Stein Seal Company is a growing manufacturing company that services the commercial, and government aerospace industries, as well as the nuclear and power generation industries. Stein Seal is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer that will be responsible for supporting all manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principals. This position will deal directly with all levels of manufacturing and is responsible for the job functions listed below.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
- Develop highly capable manufacturing processes for new products
- Revise existing processes to minimize risk
- Design new fixturing and/or gages
- Create 2D and 3D drawings (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor)
- Oversee the verification of processes meeting the requirements of Engineering drawings
- Actively participate in team-based problem solving and continuous improvement activities
- Develop, evaluate, and implement employee suggestions and employee driven continuous improvement activities
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience with Lean manufacturing desired
- Structured problem-solving skills
- CAD experience, Autodesk desired
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Tolerance stack up analysis
- An understanding of non-machining processes such as plating, coatings, welding and brazing
- Understanding the complexities of 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC Machining
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Manufacturing experience and/or machining experience desired
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in either Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and/or experience as a machinist
- Minimum 3 years of experience in developing processes for the machining of various metallic or composite components

Responsibilities:
- Key Contributor in deployment and sustainment of plant wide 5S Visual Workplace Program
- Key Contributor in deployment and sustainment of plant wide TPM Program
- Support lean initiatives in all facets of the company to improve quality and reduce waste
- Analyze historical Shop Floor Data to generate Time Standards that will be used by all.
Production Planning
- Analyze Customer Demand to complete Capacity Analysis’
- Develop and maintain PPAPs for Customers
Key Attributes:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced MS computing skills including: Excel (spreadsheet, pivot table, graphing), Word, and PowerPoint

Education and Experience:

Wanted Machinist – CNC
Growing aircraft mechanical seal and engine component designer and manufacturer with recession proof products is looking to hire experienced machinists for the manufacture of our products. Applicants should have a good understanding of CNC machining and have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Our CNC machinery is typically fairly new and consists of lathes, mills and cylindrical grinders made by Haas, Okuma and Doosan. Our customers include Boeing, General Electric, Honeywell and Pratt & Whitney.
Typical products are a light weight, made of stainless steel and are 4 to 12 inches in diameter. Our supervisors are former machinists and are looking forward to providing you, our associates, with training on the manufacturing some of our components.
We occupy two modern manufacturing plants, one in Kulpsville, off the Lansdale exit of the Turnpike and the other in Telford, a short distance from the 309 exit. Both of these facilities are air conditioned. Machining help is needed for both our day and night shift operations.
Our facilities are clean and we operate under Lean principals. Benefits include pension, 401k and health and dental insurance.

Wanted – Production Planner

Wanted – Manufacturing Manager – Mexico
***This position is located in our Merida, Mexico Plant***
MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO MEXICO
MUST SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH AND SPANISH
We have an immediate opening at our plaint in Merida, Mexico for a hands-on individual needed to supervise the manufacture of precision aircraft engine components. Applicants will be directing a supervisory staff of 8 as well as 160 employees production workers. Our plant has over 100 CNC machines and the workload has been growing at 20% per year. We have modern machinery including CNC mill-turn centers and CNC cylindrical grinders. We are located in sunny Merida Mexico, close to the Gulf.
Required: Extensive experience (10 years or more) in supervising a modern CNC machining organization. A degree in a technical field is desirable, but not a requirement.
- Must speak and understand Spanish and English
- Must be proficient in the programming of a variety of machine tools using Mastercam or other programming software.
- Should have an understanding of the machining techniques needed to machine thin walled circular parts to exacting tolerances.
- Must be able to direct staff and employees in the most efficient methods to produce finished components.
- Should understand the quality requirements of our Aerospace customers and help to maintain our AS-9100 Quality Certifications.
- Familiarity with AutoCad a plus
- Duties include directing Manufacturing Engineering to develop part manufacturing processes to be as efficient as possible on our CNC machines.
- A minimum of 10 years in the machining field, including some time operating CNC machines.
- Experience in cylindrical grinding.
- Must have a thorough understand geometric tolerancing and how it relates to the workpiece
- Should have an understanding of aircraft quality requirements from a manufacturing point of view.
- Should know the characteristics of various metals and some knowledge of heat treating components.
- A background in Lean manufacturing including putting together machining cells and using mill-turn centers for maximum efficiency would be a plus.
- Should be able to use Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Good communication skills are a must.

Wanted – Supplier Development Engineer
Individual with background in aerospace materials, heat treating of those materials and metallic coatings and plating needed to work full time with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering groups to ensure that the supplier and the related purchased components or services meet specifications and requirements. Understand quality systems and special process approvals for major aerospace customers.
Some overnight travel is required to visit regional suppliers as part of the auditing and qualification process for new or existing suppliers. Individual must be detail oriented and have good computer skills.
Responsibilities:
– Monitor the cost, quality and lead time of suppliers and vendors to assure efficient supply chain function, and re-source programs as needed to improve metrics.
– Onboard and manage suppliers for special process sourcing, such as Heat Treat, Thermal Spray, Plating, and Non-Destructive Testing
– Flow customer specifications and drawing requirements to supplier to ensure purchased components meet customer needs.
– Builds relationships with supplier to ensure that purchase components meet specifications.
– Communicate with vendors regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continual improvement in working relationships.
– Provide technical support to incoming quality inspection, regarding purchased and customer supplied components. Develop and/or improve inspection method and sampling plans.
– Manage supplier returns and work with engineering on process improvements.
Required:
– BS degree in Engineering or Technical related field or relevant experience.
– Basic Understanding of Quality Systems
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
