In Stein Seals® engineering test lab we can accurately simulate the extreme limits of operating conditions, which allows us to precisely predict and verify performance under the most rigorous operating conditions.

We are pleased to announce that we started operation our Variable Attitude Aerospace Seal Test Rig.

This newly built rig has the ability to change the attitude of the test shaft from 0° (horizontal) to 90° (Vertical) dynamically while the test is running.

This rig lets Stein test various runner and seal designs to see how attitude of the sump effects oil leakage through the seal. This rig can also test a flooded sump condition.

The rig has fully automatic data collection and control via National Instruments hardware and software.
